Wyatt Cryer is a main character on the drama, Tyler Perry's The Haves and the Have Nots. He is portrayed by Aaron O'Connell.

Biography

Wyatt is the son of the famous Judge James "Jim" Cryer and the Heiress Katheryn Cryer (nee' Hardgrave) and the older brother of Amanda Cryer. He has lived a life of privilege due to both his parents holding great prestege. He is often shown as the Black Sheep of the family.Due to him having the tendency to act out and his history of reckless behavior; which has caused negative views from his family, to be placed on him. When Wyatt was a small child he and his sister were sexually molested by members of a clergy which may have resulted in their current issues. When he was sixteen he was involved with a girl named Laura. Who he was very happy with despite her leading him up to the path of drug abuse and other influences. But seemingly loses contact with her for unkonwn reasons. A few years later Wyatt has become so incorringle that he has recently been released from his third stint in rehab for drug addiction to heroin and alcoholism. But he doesn't think he has a problem and is very impatient with such treatment.

Season One

He is introduced in the pilot episode as a recent release from rehab and is shown not to have changed in his days of rehab as he still possesses an arrogant personality. He is accompanied by his substance abuse counselor and family friend Jeffrey Harrington. Wyatt is shown to be comfortable enough to spend time with Jeffrey, unaware that his friend has romantic feelings toward him. He is well aware that Candace Young is sleeping with his father and often makes jokes on this only to be put in place by someone, especially his father. He is reunited with his ex-girlfriend Laura whom he still has deep feelings for, despite the fact that she seemingly led him into drugs in the first place. The relationship goes well until the two plan a date, and Laura stands him up, under the advice of Jeffrey. A furious Wyatt pretends to come on to Jeffery, who then comes out, explaining that he hid his sexuality until he knew wyatt he had feelings for him. Wyatt then reveals he always knew Jeffrey was gay and says in a cutting and unsparing moment he is neither gay nor bisexual and is not interested him and says he was getting even for what happend with Laura. He threatens to out Jeffrey to his mother, resulting in an argument between the two that soon turns physical. In the end wyatt leaves, and takes Jeffrey's car keys as his former friend collapses to the floor in tears.

Wyatt then relapses into his heroin abuse and is shown passed out at an unknown crack house with other drug addicts. He is later seen still intoxicated behind the wheel of Jeffrey's car his face bruised from an (off-screen) altercation at said location. Wyatt is shown to be sweating and panicing as he drives hurriedly down the street into heavy traffic. He eventually calms down and turns down a street where he accidentally hits a car and a scared Benny Young (Hanna's son and Candace's brother) who was doing a tow with another car and leaves him lying on the road and severly damages the car. It later turns out that he also hit and killed a six year old girl named Lizzie (off-screen). He returns home and tells his parents he thinks he killed someone this worries them especially since Wyatt was high when all this took place he is taken away by his angered father who sends an overhearing Hanna out (unaware that it was her son Benny Young Wyatt hit). Unbeknowst to the cryers a woman who was also at the Crack house wyatt had went to lost her daughter during his hit and run managed to get a good luck at him and describe him and the black sedan.

Season Two

Wyatt has committed a hit-and-run which killed a young girl and hospitalized benny young leading him to be placed on life support with his condition growing worse than before. Wyatt is woken up by his parents who asked of what he remembers he told them that he got into altecation with some people who were trying to carjack him but that revelation is brushed aside. His parents then ask about the night when he told them of him believing he killed someone with his car. At first,he thinks it's a dream but the tone of his parents tells him he's awake and that he did hit a person(s) wyatt quickly asks if they are okay. Katheryn says yes but his father tells him in a serious tone "A little girl is dead! A man is in the hospital because you wanted heroin! You wanted to get high and you did so you ran over her and you killed her !!!" Overcome by guilt wyatt breaks down and is told by his father that he wasn't driving and asks him what car he used in the incident as his car is in the garage. Wyatt reveals he used jeffrey's car and does not remember as he ditched the car alongside the road with that he and his father head out to find the car before the police do to no avail and they return emptyhanded.

Wyatt is then heard crying in his room on the computer looking up the girl he ran over as his mother Katheryn walks in and he tells her he killed an innocent little girl by getting high on heroin but his mother tells him he didn't do it wyatt tries to dissuade her before asking if he's going to jail however, katheryn says he is not going anywhere else ever again as his father is handling it. Wyatt is later visited by an angered jeffrey who asks about his car but he is informed that wyatt drove the car while high and had a wreck forcing to ditch the vehicle in an unknown location after a few tense words jeffrey cuts off all ties with wyatt and leaves the Cryer mansion. Wyatt begs jeffrey not to leave as he is the only friend he's got however, jeffrey still leaves and wyatt is left to sadly watch this before going in the house.

He is then seen in his room as jeffrey comes in while admitting he doesn't care for Wyatt like before he still cares him about him as a friend and ask if he was involved in the hit-and-run that killed lizzie wyatt tearfully confesses his deed and begs jeffrey not to turn him in as he can't go to jail. Jeffrey reveals that he won't turn him in as he stlll his friend and wyatt tells him that he hit a tow truck driver (Benny Young) after that the two are friends again and wyatt puts his trust into jeffrey. Later the two watch lizzie's funeral and apologize to each other for all the wrong they have done to one another and during their talk wyatt learns that the tow truck driver he hit was hanna's son. Now understanding why she's been taking so many days off he becomes worried that she'll turn him into the police especially since on the night of the incident he rushed home and told his parents what he did with hanna in the room at his revelation.

Throughout the rest of the season wyatt has experienced nightmares of the wreck and tells his father jim that he is considering turning himself into the police but his father tells him that if he does so his life will be over and he'll spend the rest of his life in jail. Not wanting to go to jail and not wanting to deal with the large guilt he's suffering he vows to never get high ever again to which he is praised by his father as he is moving on the right path.

Wyatt is later visited by jeffrey and he learns of benny's "death" he is shocked and guilty at the news but that is brushed aside after he learns of the measures jeffrey's mother is willing to have control over jeffrey such as having control over jeffrey' black sedan and threatens to have him or wyatt imprisoned if he doesn't submit to her will.

Jeffrey then tells wyatt that his decision is up to him and tells to take off his clothes but wyatt tells him he's not gay and jeffrey says wyatt has made his decison he then tells wyatt to kiss him but before he could jeffery stops him and asks him how it feels to be something he's not. He tells wyatt that if he was ruthless like Candace or Veronica he would of had wyatt do anything. He says because he is not like he will not extort wyatt for all the cruel things he's done to him. Jeffrey says will handle his mother and that wyatt doesn't have to worry about anything and says he'll always be his friend they're even now. Relieved by this revelation wyatt thanks jeffrey and wishes him good luck on dealing with his mother and watches as his friend leaves the room.

Eventually, wyatt is visited by his father who tells him the police are on their way to arrest and take him to him to jail though shocked by this revelation he listens to his father. He then asks jim if he gave Veronica the car who he reveals jeffrey told him she has the car but this is brushed aside by jim who tells him that it was hanna that had told the police. Jim tells wyatt not to say anything as he is coming to bail him out in a few hours. The police arrive and tell jim that they have a warrant for wyatt's arrest on a charge of hit and run jim tells wyatt to go with the police as the police place cuffs on him as this happens wyatt begs his father for help but jim reminds him to be quiet and says he will come to get him. The police then place the cuffed wyatt in one of the cars and drive off from the Cryer Residence to the police station while jim looks after them before going into the house.

Wyatt is at the county jail being interogated by an inspector who tries to get him to confess that it was he who hit and killed six year old lizzie and hospitialized benny young. Wyatt is shown following his father's advice by not speaking to the police even after almost throwing up and confessing after being shown the graphic picture of lizzie who is described to have look so disgusting that her funeral couldn't allow a open casket wyatt still didn't speak up. As the interrogation went on wyatt kept asking the inspector if his dad was outside only to be questioned once more about the hit and run but still gained no statement from the young cryer boy who was warned that a witness (lizzie's mother) was on their way to identify him. When it looks as if wyatt was about to be released the inspector came in and offered wyatt a cigarette an officer walked in and whispered something unknown into the inspector's ear wyatt was told he was confirmed to be the assailant by lizzie's mother. The inspector then told wyatt he was going to jail this however was a ploy created by the inspector and the D.A. representative to get wyatt to confess. Wyatt begins to get worried until the inspector "consoles" by saying he will help wyatt as he knows he isn't a bad guy, somewhat assure wyatt begins to talk about the tragic night of his hit and run by describing his altercation at the crack house and his car being a black sedan. He looks at the picture of lizzie once more and starts to cry before confessing to the hit and run that led to lizzie's death and benny's critical condition. This leads to his arrest and when his parents came in the room wyatt said he told them everything before his father told him to keep quiet about the incident. The police arrive and take wyatt into custody as the young boy calls out to his worried parents with a scared tone as his father promised to get him out.

He is eventually visited by Jeffrey (on his way to council a convict )with whom he shares the details of what happend such as the inspector telling wyatt the he would be given probation if he were to confess, how he's been calling his parents for help but receives no answer and him beginning to lose his mind wile dealing with the other convicts. The pair's conversation is broken up by an officer who replies that jeffrey wasn't allow to speak with wyatt.

Jim later had a conference where a man named Donald (a paid prop ) pose as the person wyatt had hit with the black sedan which he had brought with him and says that he was part of a cover-up to protect his son. He stated that he wyatt did not hit lizzie and benny but he struck Donald who claimed to have not been too hurt and did not press charges against wyatt for the young man seemed to be really sorry for his actions. Jim stated that he had secretly paid donald off for his son to avoid trouble and said the DA should release his son as they have the real person who he hit and said the reason they want to see him suffer is because they hold a personal vendetta against him but says they should leave his son alone and put their efforts into hunting down the man whose really responsible for the tragedy. Wyatt is later released and while avoiding questions is returned home where he encounters jeffrey who he promises to speak with later before being examined by his mother and told to go upstairs before coming down for dinner.

Some time later his parents wonder where he is and celine tells them that wyatt is sitting outside on the veranda. When katheryn tells him to come in and eat he says he's not hungry as he is thinking about the things that have just occurred his mother tells him it will be okay but wyatt is unconvinced stating a little girl is dead and hanna's son is in the hospital because of his actions. His mother again tries to get him to come in but he replies that he has been in jail for too long and needs some fresh air to which she cooperates and leaves him to his thoughts. Jim then comes to wyatt and they have a discussion about life to which jim says that life is "a bitch" and tells wyatt what happend is not his fault and that he can't change what happend due no matter how much it affects him and leaves his son alone. Wyatt then leaves the house in his mother's car and goes to the cemetery where he visits Lizzie's grave he places a teddy bear near the stone and tearfully apologizes to the deceased girl for running her over. As he does so the child's mourning mother Tina appears and wyatt learns of her connection to lizzie she says that many people have been visiting the grave to pay their respects before her father Michael (lizzie's grandfather) shows up and says they should go. While leaving Tina gets a good look at wyatt and recognizes him from the crack house as the man who drove the Black Sedan that hit and killed her daughter she stated outloud that it was him. Wyatt tries to play dumb with this until tina points it out to her father that wyatt did it, michael now recognizing the boy from the police station who was suspected of being the hit and run driver accuses wyatt as well. Scared wyatt quickly runs to his car while being pursued by an angry Michael who doesn't make it in time but bangs on the car crying as he states wyatt did it. Wyatt then drives off from the cemetery as michael tearfully hugs tina and the two cry profusely at lizzies' grave. Because of his actions at the cemetery wyatt was identified as the driver by Tina as said by the officer that Jim had do survilliance on Hanna Young. Later on Wyatt is at home when the DA come to arrest him but as they do so the news comes on with a man resembling Wyatt taking responsibility for the hit and run being arrested for the crime. The DA released Wyatt as the latter expresses surprise at the coincidence of his father having a man take the fall for the crime. Jim tells Wyatt the incident is over and orders him to move on now that the situation is over. Wyatt tries to talk to his mother about it but she tell him the same thing as his father has now taken care of the problem. He appears at the celebration his mother hosted as he sees Jeffrey come with his date Melissa he silently thanks Jeffrey for his actions even if took a lot of guts to do. Later on he and David stop Quincy Maxwell from beating up Jim as the latter angrily leaves the house after revealing Jim's affair with Candace to all. He is shown sleeping in his bed when Amanda playing her game of "Eeny, meeny, miny, moe" enters and points a gun at his head before running out and a gunshot is heard.

Season Three

The sound of the gunshot wakes up Wyatt and he runs out of his room to check out the sound looking in his mother's and sister's room but finding nothing. He then calls Jim only to find that his cellphone was left outside on the porch, he takes the phone with him to his father's study where he goes through it which confirms his father's cheating. He spends the rest of the night drinking as he goes through the phone until he is found passed out by Celine who criticizes him for his actions. Wyatt whose vices have now return tells her to shut up calling her a whore and attempt to sleep with revealing he knows of her and Jim's affair as well as his half brothers. However, Celine is able to intimidate Wyatt into leaving her alone. When Hanna arrives and finds Amanda dead in her room and screams, Wyatt rushes to the room and is shocked at the sight of his dead sister. When the police arrive and do a full investigation Wyatt spends most of his time with Jeffrey who notices his vices haves returned. He later gets into a fight with his parents after revealing he intends to confess to his horrible crime but is stopped by Jeffrey. After the police leave, Wyatt is in his room thinking about his sister's death and his hit and run and calls the DA for a private talk that night. He soon witnesses Jim breaking down while being consoled by Hanna in Amanda's room. He soon hears his father apologizing to him and Amanda for what he's done to them leaving Wyatt somewhat touched. Later on, he speaks with the DA and confesses to the crime giving them the exact full details of the incident. When he sees his parents the next day he asks if Hanna was there as he intended to tell her everything but is told by them that she is not there yet so he decides to wait for her to come and tell her. Before he can leave for his room Jim and Katheryn talk to Wyatt about his actions and after giving him a full lecture they tell him he will go to prison and will be raped but he disregards this warning.

Later on, he is in the den as his parents are talking to Maggie Day as with Celine he hits on her as well before leaving the house. Wyatt goes to the Saradon Hotel where he calls Jeffrey and asks if he can sleep over but realizes to his disgust Jeffrey is in bed with Landon Peyton. He leaves the hotel and returns home and is in the kitchen with his father when Celine walks in as she talks with Jim, Wyatt comments on her begging like a whore as Celine tells him to be silent. When Celine begs Jim to be there with her like he was before, wyatt comments Jim wasn't there for Amanda which causes Jim to lash out him throwing the young man down the stair before proceeding to beat him for his words. This altercation is broken up by Hanna who Wyatt attempts to tell the truth to but Katheryn calls Hanna upstairs interrupting the argument. Later Wyatt is question as to why he didn't tell Hanna but Wyatt says he will tell her as Veronica walks in and confronts him about his recent actions and behavior but he states he wants them all to pay for trying to cover up the incident. Veronica says despite his ungrateful attitude he will repay his debts to them when he attempts to shrug it off she says he's the one going to prison not her.

Later, Wyatt is in his room on the computer watching a video when Jim walks in and tells him they are going somewhere but Wyatt says he isn't going anywhere with him until Jim grabs him by the hand and pulls him out the room and tells him to move. Jim then drives Wyatt to the prison where Wyatt nervously asks the reason for being them there as Jim tells Wyatt he' giving him a taste of life in prison since he's not afraid of going there. He asks if he's afraid now but Wyatt says he isn't and Jim tells him to get out the car.

The two enter the prison and Jim arranges for an officer to take Wyatt into his office to "show" him something. Wyatt asks why he needs to go but Jim says that he need to go with the officer. A bit worried, Wyatt calls Jim "Dad" as Jim comments on this and asks if he is afraid but the latter denies his fear and goes into the office as his father says he will be scared very soon. Wyatt goes into the office as the office having changed his tune tells Wyatt to give him his hand or he'll break it. He then has Wyatt stand on the wall and takes his picture as Wyatt thinking this is an act smugly smiles as the officer tells him to undress in order to get a full cavity search but Wyatt refuses. The officer then has two guards come in the room saying he has an inmate being disorderly but Wyatt says he's not an inmate as the two guards grab and pin him to the wall taking off his clothes as Wyatt attempts to fight back however, the head officer performs the cavity search as Wyatt screams. Later Jim arranges for Norman Hewens (the man he hired to take the for Wyatt) to see them as the latter expresses his time in prison and tell him it has been a nightmare as people have been trying to kill him due to the nature of the crime. Wyatt then asks his father if Norman's words were to tell him that prison is not worth going to but Jim tells him that's not it before ordering Norman to strip his clothes and Wyatt to do the same thing. As Wyatt expresses confusion and refuses to do so but changes his tune upon hearing Jim threaten to have guards do it for him. Jim tells the two to switch clothes and while they do so he tells Norman he's sorry that he had to the fall for a thankless young man. Jim then tells Wyatt since he wants prison he's giving it to him and tells Norman that he's going to treat for taking the fall as Wyatt tries to protest against this act. Jim tells Wyatt that because of his actions he is getting what he ask for Wyatt tries to dissuade his father from this calling him "Dad" again but Jim using Wyatt's words and insults in the past few days against him tells him to enjoy prison and has the guards take "Norman" away to his cell. Jim then leaves the prison with "his son" as the latter profusely protests before the guards escort him to Norman's cell.

The next day, Wyatt struggles to tell the guards about the switch but his actions are refused. On the same day he is given a cellmate named Rico who aware that Wyatt isn't Norman asks what he's doing there. Wyatt tries to explain but this is brushed aside when the man makes it clear that he intends to rape Wyatt as he and Norman had an arrangement to keep him from killing the latter due to Wyatt's crime. Wyatt tells Rico he's not gay as the man tells him he isn't either but he intends to collect on his "new gift". Wyatt says that's not happening as Rico tells him they will see at night. This act scared Wyatt who was worried about looking forward to night and started to cry on his cell bars. Later at night, Wyatt is sleeping as Rico wakes him up to act on his promise but Wyatt punches him as Rico grabs and throws him on the ground attempting to rape him. Luckily, Wyatt called for the guards and one of them answered telling Rico to stop as he been put in the hole to many times for a similar incident. This relaxed Wyatt for a moment until Rico told him that same guard's shift ends in thirty seconds and he'll act again. Thirty seconds later, the guard's shift change just as Rico said and he attempts to act on his earlier threat but this time Wyatt attempts to talk to him saying he's a nice guy but Rico refutes that saying he runs over kids but Wyatt says that was Norman. Rico smirks at this saying "Now you're getting it". A guard passes by and tells them to go to sleep while Rico hops in the bed Wyatt tells the guard Rico is trying to rape him but the guards says Wyatt will have to fight him and he leaves as Wyatt cries again. Rico gets up angry that Wyatt is a snitch to and punches him in the face causing Wyatt to break down.

The next day, Wyatt is in his cell as a guard tells him that Norman has a visitor after explaining he's not Norman he say will see the visitor. Wyatt then goes to see his visitor who are revealed to be his parents who are somewhat pleased to see how prison has broken him in just a few days. Wyatt begs his mother to save him but she says it was all Jim's idea and she had nothing to do with it. Wyatt looks to his father as the latter take pleasure as Wyatt is again calling him "Dad" again and asks Katheryn how he looked as she mentioned he look scared to death. Jim agrees and asks Wyatt if he has anymore stories to tell the DA and if he wants to continue act like how he's been acting for the past few days. Wyatt says he'll behave and begs his parents to release him but Jim says they can't help him in prison just as they told him when he confessed.

After a moment of careful consideration, Jim says it looks like Wyatt needs to spend some more time in prison to really learn a lesson and come home. Jim and Katheryn leave while Wyatt begs them to return telling the guards not to close the doors as they will come back. Wyatt returns to his cell despairing that his parents have left him in prison but this is overlooked as a guard comes in with a new inmate. Wyatt asks what happened to Rico as the guard tells him Rico was stabbed and he got a new cellmate. The guard leaves as the inmate asks Wyatt if he is Norman to which the latter says yes and the inmate asks if he really hit that little girl Wyatt says it was an accident as the inmate says he's in there for murder too but what he's about to do is no accident. He reveals he has been trying to get to "Norman" for some time and tells him to get on his knees, Wyatt refuses and the inmate throws him on the ground and forces Wyatt to give him oral sex.

After this, Wyatt is on his bed clearly traumatized at what has happened as the inmate asks Wyatt if he wants to do it again but Wyatt begs him to stop only for the inmate to try and grab him until a guard comes in. The guard seeing the inmate asks how he got in the cell as the inmate says he was just put there the guard calls for another guard and the inmate is escorted out. The first guard calling Wyatt by his name asks if he is okay but he is too shaken to reply. The guard then has the second guard take Wyatt to the infirmary.

Some time later, Wyatt is back in his cell when Jim arrives he again begs his father to take home but the latter say he can't as Wyatt wanted prison but Wyatt says prison is driving him insane. Jim then decides to take Wyatt home with that the two then leave the prison as Jim apologizes to Wyatt for putting him prison but Wyatt ask if that's right Jim asks if that was a snarky comment as he can bring him back to the prison. Wyatt quickly apologized for his comment and Jim makes a list of demands he wants Wyatt to follow upon their return home and the young Cryer complies to his father's demands. Once at home, Wyatt is greeted by his mother after speaking with her he goes to his room and packs a bag intending to leave. He then calls Jeffrey and begs him to come pick him up, Jeffrey is skeptical of this as Wyatt tells he isn't drunk and that he really needs Jeffrey's help. Wyatt sneaks out his room and meets up with Jeffrey on the veranda, he tells Jeffrey he has been in prison for the past few days and tells him about his horrible time (including the rape). He is soon contacted by Jennifer Sallison who is aware of where Wyatt was and tells him Jim staged the thing and that Veronica was responsible for him being raped. She makes a deal to give him immunity from his crime provided he finds the car. After said call, Wyatt is contacted by Jeffrey who has found the car he used the hit and run. Wyatt goes to the tow yard where they spot Veronica and Benny Young having sex and Wyatt records it on his phone. Later Wyatt tells Jennifer he found the car but requests that Jeffrey be given immunity as well even though he knew of the crime he had no part in it being covered up.

Jennifer Sallison helps gets his inheritance which is composed of millions provided he passes a drug test. Wyatt has an old friend give him drugs and the means to cheat at his test and passes without a problem. While waiting on his money, Wyatt relishes his freedom and his ego grows to the point where he informs Hanna and Candace Young that he was responsible for the hit and run that put Benny in the hospital. The partygoers flee the scene and Wyatt is found the next day presumed deceased by the hotel staff and paramedics.

While viewing the body, David confirms it is Wyatt but upon closely inspecting he finds Wyatt is warm and faintly breathing meaning he was unconscious. Wyatt is immediately taken to the hospital where doctors give him medicine to clear out the drugs in his system and ease the seizures he's had by placing him in a medical coma. His survival elates his parents as they make plans to take back the inheritance and take action against those stating he was dead. While checking up on Wyatt, David and Hanna are informed by the doctor of the list all the drugs he took in.

Family

James "Jim" Cryer

Is Wyatt's overbearing father, a judge who later runs for governor. He is well aware that his son has a drug problem and has apparently spent quite a large amount of money in different treatments trying to help his son get clean. Jim is almost never affectionate with his son and Wyatt carries a large chip on his shoulder because of this. However when Wyatt relapses and has a hit and run which took the life of a little girl and incapacitated benny young, jim shows his more worried about his son going to prison for the rest of his natural life rather than the governor campaign. Throughout the second season jim is shown going through great lengths to protect his son and has become proud that he wouldn't turn back to drugs in his alone time and talks him out of turning himself in. In the second season finale after hanna told the police that wyatt is the culprit behind the hit and run jim immediately rushed home to warn his son about the authorities coming to arrest him and take him to jail. Jim assured his scared son that he will be in jail for a couple of hours and that he will bail out while telling wyatt to remain silent as he is interrogated though scared wyatt trusted his father and walked out hte house to be arrested. Once the moment occurred jim repeated his advice when wyatt was being handcuffed and promised to get him out . Later when wyatt confessed to his actions his father is shown deeply worried as his only son is going to jail he rushes into the interrogating room and tells his son not to say anymore but wyatt tells him it's too late. As he was being escorted out by police wyatt called out to his dad in a sad tone while jim looked at his son with a silently face that seemed deeply worried. Jim would later falsify a story that wyatt did not run over benny and lizzie but rather a man named Donald (a paid prop) and this had caused the DA to negioate over a deal to release wyatt. Once jim got wyatt out of jail he took his son home where his mother sent him upstairs and thanked Jim for bringing him back and the judge's reply was "He's my son too" another show of his love for Wyatt. When Wyatt's vices returned the two had arguments that soon became physical and referred to Jim by his name even stating he now hates him for his actions. Jim deciding to teach his son a lesson about prison pulled some strings and took Wyatt to the prison where he was to stay for a few days until he was ready to comply. As this happen a scared Wyatt called Jim "Dad" as the latter used Wyatt's insults and behavior in the last few days against him. When Wyatt was raped (in a secret revenge scheme by Veronica Harrington) in prison Jim was shocked and sadden to hear this threatening to kill the guard who allowed the rapist in the cell before asking to see his son. After the guards leave, Jim breaks down in tears showing while he wanted to teach his son a lesson he didn't intend for him to get seriously hurt. When meeting with his now traumatized son, Jim (while attempting to hold back tears) greeted him causally while the latter pleaded for his father to get him out of prison as he states its a nightmare in there. Jim only agreed if Wyatt would get himself in line to which the frantically promises and the two leave. On the way back home, Wyatt while still visibly scared questioned why his father did that to him to which Jim told him it was to teach him a lesson of respect. Jim says that he did not want Wyatt put in there but if his son is angry he can bring him back but wyatt quickly dissuades and agrees to his father's list of rules. In the third season finale, Wyatt made a deal with D.A. Jennifer Sallison having Jim, Katheryn and the Harringtons arrested while unbeknownst his father got revenge on those who hurt his son by having the officer who let the rapist in the cell and the rapist killed.

Katheryn Cryer

Katheryn is Wyatt's distanced and long suffering mother, who, like Jim does not seem to appear to care much for her son. She has very little interaction with him and is not pleased with his lifestyle. However, like his father katheryn's parental side was shown when Wyatt came to the home bruised and claiming he thinks he's killed someone while intoxicated. While jim was yellling at wyatt for relapsing and doing a dangerous act katheryn tried her best to console him and promised to handle the situation but to no avail as jim pulled the inebriated wyatt out of the room. She watched her son sleep that night until he was woken up by his angry father and while jim gave wyatt an earful about his actions katheryn tried her best to keep everything calm however, jim carried on with his yelling. When wyatt questioned if the people he hit were okay his mother said yes while jim bluntly told him the truth and that he was responsible for a tragic incident that affected two innocents. Katheryn was left with no choice but cry when it was revealed that her only son was responsible for a disgusting act that was all over the news. She later visited him when wyatt was at home crying while looking up the little girl he killed and was very sickened at what he had done to such a young girl. Katheryn consoled him and said he didn't do it while he tried to dissuade her and state he did it calling himself an idiot for the awful act. He asked his mother if he was going to jail but katheryn said he wasn't going anywhere again and that his father(a powerful judge) was taking care of the situation. She does not answer his phone calls asking for an explanation but comes to the treatment center, where Jeffery's lie is outed.

Enemies

Candace Young

Wyatt's hatred of Candace began when it was revealed the latter was having an affair with his father, since learning this fact he started making jokes or insinuations of Candace liking older men which causes his father to put him in his place to stop him from exposing said affair. At Amanda's funeral, Wyatt was very furious to see Candace grabbing her arm and calling her a whore while Candace non-chalantly called him an alcoholic before moving to express her respect to Jim and Katheryn. Candace was unaware that Wyatt was the one who put her brother on life support until Wyatt told her it was him who hit her brother to which she is shocked.

When Celine returned after being fired by Jim and Katheryn, Wyatt taunted the former maid as she begged while Celine attempted to ignore him and when Wyatt made comment about not being there for Amanda which made Jim beat him before Hanna stopped him Celine commented "He deserved it".

Veronica Harrington

Wyatt's dislike of veronica came when he learned from Jeffrey holding the car he used in the hit and run using it to blackmail Jeffrey into following her demands. When Wyatt's vices returned he confessed to the DA about the whole incident as well as Veronica having the car in her possession when confronted by Veronica about this choice he stated "I want you all to pay!" and veronica said she collects on her debts and Wyatt replied she'll have to collect from prison. These choice of words would turn out to be fatal mistake that Wyatt would pay the ultimate price for as shown when an inmate (on Veronica's orders) of the prison raped Wyatt just as David learned Veronica knew Wyatt was in prison despite him not telling her.
